Immediately after the treatment: -Your skin may feel sensitive, tight, or slightly irritated. This is normal and should subside within a few hours. - Avoid touching your face to prevent introducing bacteria or irritants to the treated area. - Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer recommended by your provider to soothe and nourish the skin. 2. Protect your skin from the sun: - Shield your skin from direct sun exposure for at least one week post-treatment. - If you must go outside, wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 and reapply it every two hours. - Cover your face with a wide-brimmed hat or use a protective umbrella. 3. Avoid picking or peeling: - Refrain from picking, scratching, or peeling the treated area to prevent scarring or skin damage. - Let the dead skin naturally slough off on its own. 4. Skip exfoliating products and treatments: - Avoid using any exfoliating products, such as scrubs or chemical exfoliants, for at least one week post-treatment. - Refrain from scheduling any other exfoliating treatments, including facials or microdermabrasion, for two weeks. 5. Hydrate and moisturize: - Keep your skin well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. - Apply a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer recommended by your provider regularly to maintain moisture and support healing. 6. Pre and Post-Treatment Protocol for Laser Hair Removal
Pre-Treatment Care: 1. Avoid sun exposure: Refrain from direct sun exposure or tanning beds for at least four weeks before your laser hair removal treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin can increase the risk of complications and affect the effectiveness of the treatment. 2. Avoid self tanners on the area to be treated one week prior to your laser hair removal session. 3. Shave the treatment area: Shave the area to be treated one day before your appointment. This helps the laser energy target the hair follicles more effectively while minimizing discomfort during the procedure. 4. Avoid certain hair removal methods: Avoid plucking, waxing, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least four weeks before the laser hair removal session. These methods remove the hair from the root, which is necessary for the laser to effectively target the hair follicles. 5. Cleanse your skin: On the day of your treatment, ensure that your skin is clean and free of any lotions, creams, or makeup. This allows the laser to penetrate the skin properly and ensures optimal results. Post-Treatment Care: 1. Apply a soothing cream or gel: After your laser hair removal session, apply a recommended soothing cream or aloe vera gel to the treated area. This helps to calm the skin, reduce redness, and minimize any potential discomfort. 2. Protect your skin from the sun: It is crucial to protect the treated area from sun exposure for at least four weeks following the procedure. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher whenever you go outside, even if it's cloudy. 3. Avoid excessive heat: Refrain from activities that may generate heat in the treated area, such as hot showers, saunas, or vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment. Heat can increase skin sensitivity and potentially cause complications. 4. Skip certain skincare products: Avoid using products that may irritate or sensitize the treated skin, such as harsh exfoliants, fragrances, or retinoids, for a few days following the treatment. 5. Let the hair shed naturally: It is normal for the treated hair to appear as if it is still growing after the laser hair removal session. Allow the hair to shed naturally without plucking or waxing it. Please follow post-treatment instructions: Your provider may provide you with specific post-treatment instructions based on your individual needs. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to promote proper healing and achieve the best results. By adhering to this pre and post-treatment care protocol, you can optimize the effectiveness of your laser hair removal sessions and minimize the risk of adverse reactions. If you have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to consult with your provider for guidance and support.
Pre HydroLuxe Facial Treatment Protocol
To ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of skin sensitivity, it is recommended to follow the following pre-treatment protocol before your HydroLuxe Facial: 1. Avoid topical retinols or acids: Refrain from using any skincare products containing retinols or acids for at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled HydroLuxe Facial. These ingredients can increase skin sensitivity and may interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment. 2. Gentle cleansing: Cleanse your face using a mild, non-irritating cleanser on the day of your appointment. This helps to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup from your skin, allowing the HydroLuxe Facial products to penetrate effectively. 3. Hydrate your skin: Prioritize hydration by applying a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type. Well-hydrated skin responds better to treatments and can enhance the overall results of the HydroLuxe Facial. By adhering to this pre-treatment protocol, you can ensure that your skin is in optimal condition and ready to receive the full benefits of the HydroLuxe Facial. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to consult with your skincare professional or provider for personalized guidance.

Dermal Fillers Post Procedure Instructions
Know that you may be rather swollen for a day or two after your treatment, but also know that this is totally normal and that the swelling will subside. Rest assured, the swelling will go down. Prop yourself up with an extra pillow the night of your treatment. This will greatly aid in reducing swelling. Take Arnica 4 times a day for at least 4 days following your treatment. Arnica is available for purchase in our office or at local health food stores. Don’t drink alcohol for at least 3-4 days prior to your appointment. You can count on a lot less bleeding and bruising if follow this guideline. Don’t drink alcohol for at least 24 hours following your treatment, either. Alcohol causes inflammation. Instead, relax and hydrate. Don’t take fish oils, ibuprofen, aspirin, or garlic supplements for up to 7 days before and after your treatment (unless it is medically necessary for you to be on any of those). These also thin your blood and can cause more bruising and bleeding. Don’t exercise for at least 24 hours following treatment. Don’t massage the area post treatment, unless informed to do so by your provider. It will be a bit firm and possibly bumpy for a few days until it fully integrates. If you massage the area without being directed by provider to do so you risk moving the filler around, which could result in undesirable results. If you have persistent pain at the injection site or blanching of the skin contact your provider immediately. Allow 2 full weeks and if you need any adjustments or have any concerns and/or questions call our office
Lip Filler Post Procedure Instructions
Patients who receive a lip filler treatment may experience irritation or complications, but the majority of side effects that can occur are tolerable and manageable. It’s important to note that hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are not permanent treatments. The most common side effects that people experience after an injection are: Bruising Redness Swelling Pain Tenderness Most side effects go away in a few days, but sometimes last up to a few weeks. But in the meantime, there are steps you can take to minimize reactions. STEPS TO YOUR BEST RESULTS: If you have any of the more common symptoms mentioned above, here are some steps you can take to minimize reactions and get comfortable. Apply cool compresses to the injection site (gently, without firm pressure) up to 4 times per day for 5 minutes at a time Reduce facial expressions/lip pursing for 48 hours Avoid massaging the injection area Avoid sun exposure as long as bruising persists Keep head elevated while sleeping Avoid vigorous exercise for 24 hours Stay well hydrated WHAT TO AVOID: Before and immediately following your lip treatment, there are actions you should avoid as they may cause bruising, swelling, and/or other symptoms. These include: Avoid consuming alcohol 3-4 days prior to and at least 24 hours after your procedure. To decrease your risk of bruising, avoid taking blood-thinning medications (unless medically necessary) one week prior and 3 days after treatment. These include: Aspirin, NSAIDs, Fish Oil, Vitamin E Supplements, St John’s Wort, Garlic tablets, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ginseng. Check with your provider to learn more about what you can do to reduce any reactions that may arise. If you experience side effects that are not at least 50% reduced 3 days after treatment, contact your provider.
Plasma Treatment Instructions
During the first 24–48 hours after treatment you will experience redness, swelling and tenderness in the treated areas. These responses are normal and resolve quickly and spontaneously over the next 2-4 days. You can apply light water-based or mineral makeup where necessary. Drink plenty of cold water for 48 hours after the procedure. Bruising at the site of injection is also common and clears completely in 1-10 days. Swelling and bruising can give the appearance of ‘unevenness’ in the area treated. This will settle once the swelling and bruising has gone. Please contact the clinic for advice if there is any ‘unevenness’ present after 14 days. After your Plasma / Biofiller treatment you should: Avoid alcohol, caffeine, hot drinks and spicy food for 24 hours, as these may exacerbate bruising and swelling. Avoid medications such as aspirin or nurofen for 1-2 weeks as they are blood thinning agents and may exacerbate bruising (if these medications have been advised by your GP please check with your GP before stopping them) Avoid supplements such as multivitamins, fish oils, glucosamine and Vitamin B or Vitamin E, which are blood thinning agents and may exacerbate bruising for 1-2 weeks (if these supplements have been advised by your GP please check with your GP before stopping them) Avoid exercise/exertion for 24 hours Avoid excess sun exposure or solarium use for 24 hours Apply ice frequently as required to the area injected for up to 6 hours after the treatment. This will prevent or help to alleviate any bruising. It will also help to reduce any swelling. You can use Arnica cream and arnica tablets (present in your aftercare pack or available for purchase from the clinic) to help alleviate any bruising. NOTE: bruises can last 1-10 days. They are TEMPORARY and will completely disappear over time with no effect on your treatment. Once bruising has formed (within the first 48 hours) it is better to apply warmth to the area to encourage the body’s natural reabsorption of the bruise from the skin. You will feel raised ‘bumps’ and raised ‘threads’ on the skin in some areas that have been treated. It is advisable to massage the areas gently with a greasy moisturiser or arnica cream 2-3 x daily for 5-7 days. This will ensure that the booster is spread across the deep layer of the skin to create a sheet of product which will attract water to it and hydrate the deep layer of the skin. DO NOT MASSAGE ANY AREA TREATED WITH PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) IF YOU HAVE ALSO HAD MUSCLE RELAXANTS INJECTED IN THE SAME AREA If you feel that further treatment of an area is required, please contact us for a follow- up appointment or advice as to when a further treatment can be carried out. If you suffer any allergic responses, prolonged generalised symptoms or any lumps/unevenness persists after 14 days, please contact us for advice.

NO MATTER HOW TEMPTING, DO NOT PICK OR SCRUB THESE BROWN SPOTS—LET THEM COME OFF ON THEIR OWN! 3.
